STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL
THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED USING 2 STOCK PHOTOS. I OPENED THEM IN ADOBE PHOTOSHOP AND PUT THEM INTO ONE PROJECT. I PLACED BOTH IMAGES HOW I WANTED TO COMBINE THEM AND CROPPED EVERYTHING (1:1). THE NEXT THING I WANTED TO DO WAS TO REMOVE ALL THE TRASH AT THE BEACH (BORDERED RED) WITH THE "SPOT HEALING BRUSH TOOL".
BEFORE & AFTER OF USING THE "SPOT HEALING BRUSH TOOL".
THEN I STARTED TO COMPOSE THE IMAGES. I USED THE "PEN TOOL" TO SELECT THE SHIP AND THE BEACH.  I CREATED A SELECTION AFTER THAT WITH RIGHT CLICK>MAKE SELECTION, CLICKED ON THE "BEACH"-LAYER AND ADDED A LAYER MASK FOR IT (BORDERED RED).
THEN I USED A SOFT WHITE BRUSH (OPACITY 100%, HARDNESS 0%), WHILE THE LAYER MASK OF THE "BEACH"-LAYER WAS SELECTED TO PAINT OVER TO REMOVE THE HARD EDGE OF THE "SKY"-LAYER.
AFTER THAT I WAS HAPPY HOW THE COLOR OF THE WATER AND THE AURORA WERE BLENDING BOTH IMAGES TOGETHER.
THEN I CREATED A NEW LAYER ("MOON") AND ADDED A MOON WITH THE "BRUSH TOOL".
THEN I WANTED TO CORRECT THESE AREAS. I SELECTED THE LAYER MASK OF THE "BEACH"-LAYER AND USED A SOFT BLACK BRUSH (OPACITY 100%, HARDNESS 0%) TO PAINT BETWEEN THE ROPES.
THE BEFORE & AFTER OF THE PHOTOSHOP EDITING.
AFTER I'VE USED ADOBE PHOTOSHOP TO COMPOSE THE 2 IMAGES I OPENED ADOBE LIGHTROOM AND IMPORTED THE IMAGE TO ADD THE FINAL TOUCH THERE. I USE LIGHTROOM FOR THAT BECAUSE I HAVE THE LIBRARY THING THERE BUT IT'S ALSO POSSIBLE TO MAKE THIS STEP IN THE CAMERA RAW FILTER OR WITH LAYERS IN PHOTOSHOP. FIRST I ROTATED THE IMAGE BY 90 DEGREES AND CROPPED IT FOR INSTAGRAM (4:5). THEN I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE BASIC SETTINGS.
I ADDED A S-CURVE FOR THE CONTRAST.
AND ALSO PLAYED AROUND WITH THE COLORS.
THE NEXT THING WAS THAT I SLIGHTLY ADDED A YELLOW TONE TO THE HIGHLIGHTS AND BLUE TO THE SHADOWS USING "SPLIT TONING". A STEP THAT I MAKE ON NEARLY EVERY IMAGE.
IN THE END I ADDED A VIGNETTE.
BEFORE & AFTER OF THE ADOBE LIGHTROOM EDITING.
FINISHED.
